Sample size and power for time-to-event endpoints using the log-rank test
This calculator sizes a time-to-event study for the log-rank test using Schoenfeld’s (1981) formula for the required number of events, then converts that to a sample size assuming exponential (constant-hazard) survival with uniform patient accrual followed by an additional follow-up period.
